Nearly 200 acres at 5 Dogs is dedicated to live fire shooting. Twenty seperate ranges to accommodate any firearm training program are available to the law enforcement community. Ranges are set up in known distances from 7 to 1,000 meters.

The range itself has two classrooms - one seating up to 80 students and the other seats 15 students.

• 8 pistol ranges (depth 25 to 75 yards x 20 tp 50 yards wide).
• Shooting pit for 360 degree shooting.
• Rifle range with distances of 25 to 100 yards.
• Rifle range with distances of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, & 600 yards.
• Rifle range up to 200 yards.
• Rifle range with distances of 600, 750 & 1,000 yards.
• Range with 18 target stands for 3, 7 1/2, and 15 yards qualifications.
• Areas for downhill shooting.
• Areas for gas and explosives training.
